it was a long movie, a lot of climaxes since conflicts involved personal and national (it was set during the war).
the audience: filipinos do not react on scenes the way i do (yes, i excluded myself from the "usual" bunch). they laugh at what they know little of or at those that are different or strage from their normal routine. heck, of course it was set in an era and place different from ours of course, most are different. i hat it when the laughed at the aboriginy dood who pops unexpectedly from scene to scene. you can have your laugh for the first few instances that you see this dood. but enough is enough, why laugh until the very last moment that he appears. hay naku (as rich's mom would exlaim her dismay)!
